Commissioning of Arigidi Foodbank

Felix and Margaret are excited to announce the commissioning of their first food bank and kitchen at Arigidi Akoko, scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025. This vital community project will serve as a beacon of hope for those struggling with food insecurity in the area. The food bank will provide non-perishable food items, while the kitchen will prepare nutritious meals for local residents facing hunger.
Volunteers will play a key role in distributing food to those in need, ensuring that no one in the community goes hungry. The food bank will not only provide immediate relief but also serve as a long-term resource for individuals and families who are struggling. By working closely with local partners and residents, Felix and Margaret aim to create a sustainable model for tackling food insecurity in the region.
The project also includes plans for educational outreach, where volunteers will help raise awareness about food insecurity and its impact on the community. Along with food distribution, the kitchen will provide a space for communal activities, strengthening bonds within the village while ensuring access to essential resources.
We look forward to the positive impact this initiative will have, and we are committed to continuing our mission to provide relief to underserved communities across the country. The Arigidi Foodbank represents the first step in our broader efforts to expand food security initiatives, and we hope to inspire others to join us in our fight against hunger.

Health Drive: Mobile Clinic

In November of 2025, Olusa Foundation will launch their Health Drive initiative in the village of Ajowa Akoko. As part of this campaign, we will introduce a Mobile Clinic focused on blood sugar monitoring and general health checks. The campaign is designed to promote awareness about diabetes and other preventable health issues.
The mobile clinic will offer free blood sugar tests, blood pressure monitoring, and other essential health checks for people in Ajowa Akoko and surrounding areas. Our goal is to provide these crucial services to underserved communities, ensuring that people have access to health resources regardless of where they live. By offering convenient, on-the-ground support, we aim to reach individuals who might otherwise struggle to access basic health care.
In addition to providing testing services, the mobile clinic will also serve as an educational hub. We will offer workshops on how to manage and monitor blood sugar levels, the importance of regular health check-ups, and strategies to prevent common diseases like diabetes and hypertension. Health professionals will be available to educate and guide participants in making healthier lifestyle choices.
This health drive will not be a one-time event. The mobile clinic will travel across various villages in Nigeria, ensuring that as many people as possible benefit from this initiative. The ultimate goal is to build a sustainable model that empowers communities to take control of their health and adopt preventative measures.
Olusa Foundation is committed to expanding health access and education, and this mobile clinic is a crucial step in making healthcare more accessible, affordable, and preventative across Nigeria. We are excited to see the positive changes this initiative will bring to these communities.
