Olusa Foundation is excited to announce the grand opening of its flagship center in Akoko, Nigeria, slated for December 2025. This ultra-modern facility, built in honor of the Olusas—Olawuyi, Awosola, Olugbemiija, and Arinkolu—will serve as a beacon of hope and progress for the community. Their legacies are the foundation upon which we build our work, and it is only fitting that this center bears their names. This opening marks a pivotal moment in our efforts to provide essential services to underserved communities in Akoko and the broader Ondo State region.
The Olusa Foundation Center will house a 100-bed low-cost clinic, pharmacy, modern testing laboratories, community center, and a food bank. The clinic aims to provide affordable, high-quality healthcare services, ensuring that individuals and families in need can access life-saving treatments and preventive care. The pharmacy will supply essential medications, and the testing labs will offer diagnostic services, ensuring timely detection and treatment of various health conditions.
The food bank will address food insecurity by providing nutritious meals and non-perishable food items to families in need. This initiative ensures that no one goes hungry, especially during times of hardship. Additionally, the center will feature an office complex for Olusa Foundation’s administration, providing a space for staff and volunteers to manage resources, coordinate programs, and support ongoing efforts in the community.
The grand opening ceremony will bring together key stakeholders, including the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, who will be the guest of honor. Other distinguished guests include the Right Reverend J.O.B. Bada, Bishop of the Anglican Communion of the Akoko Diocese, and local Kings and Chiefs from Akoko towns. We are also honored to invite teachers, students, and staff from the primary schools in Akoko, especially those affiliated with Margaret Olusa, whose legacy as an educator has deeply impacted the region.
The opening of the Olusa Foundation Center is a momentous occasion for our organization and the Akoko community. The center will provide healthcare, educational programs, and community support, making essential services more accessible. It is designed to foster long-term development by offering preventive care, diagnostic services, and treatment for both acute and chronic conditions. Additionally, the Foundation’s commitment to education will continue through programs aimed at empowering individuals with the skills needed to succeed.
As we prepare for the grand opening, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all who have supported Olusa Foundation in this journey. This center is a testament to the power of collaboration and the belief that, together, we can create lasting change in the lives of those who need it most. We look forward to welcoming the community, our partners, and our supporters to this significant milestone in December 2025.
Olusa Foundation is thrilled to announce our new partnership with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), a crucial step in strengthening our efforts to serve vulnerable communities across Nigeria. This collaboration allows us to harness the energy, skills, and passion of NYSC volunteers, many of whom are recent graduates fulfilling their mandatory year of national service. These dedicated young individuals will play a key role in supporting the Foundation’s mission to alleviate poverty, hunger, and lack of access to healthcare, while also gaining invaluable hands-on experience and contributing to the betterment of the country.
We believe that by working together, Olusa Foundation and NYSC can create meaningful change. Volunteers and interns from NYSC will have the opportunity to apply their unique skills in a variety of areas, ranging from providing medical support in our Low-Cost Clinic to distributing essential food and supplies to communities in need. This partnership enables recent graduates to actively contribute to the country they love while making a tangible impact on the lives of those less fortunate.
Olusa Foundation is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all volunteers and interns, offering opportunities for professional growth while helping them develop important life skills. Whether you are involved in healthcare delivery, educational outreach, or supporting our food bank efforts, your contributions will help provide vital services to underserved communities.
We welcome all NYSC volunteers to join us in this mission. Your time, energy, and specialized skills will not only improve the lives of others but also allow you to build lasting connections with the communities you serve. By choosing to volunteer with Olusa Foundation, you become an integral part of our vision of a healthier, more prosperous Nigeria.
We are grateful for this partnership with the NYSC, as it strengthens our collective impact and brings us one step closer to achieving our goal of creating positive, lasting change. Olusa Foundation would like to extend a warm invitation to all NYSC volunteers who are ready to make a difference. Together, we can uplift our communities and work towards a brighter future for all Nigerians.
